Visitation will be 1 to 3 P.M. Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway.  Graveside service with Masonic Graveside Rites at Rosedale Community Cemetery with Reverend Johnny Conrad officiating will follow the visitation.

Paul William “Bill” Tallman, 81, of Wilsie, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 11, 1937 in Gilmer County, a son of the late Trader Beal and Thelma Agnus Ferrell Tallman.  He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Kimball and Sharon Frame and his brother, Daniel Tallman.

Bill retired as a Well Tender for Equitable Gas with 31 years of service.  He also worked as a carpenter during his life.  Bill was a very active volunteer with Rosedale Senior Center and was a member of Gassaway Masonic Lodge No. 133 AF & AM.  He was sharp and witty, enjoyed being with friends and loved meeting new people.  Bill loved the outdoors and vegetable gardening and in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting. Bill was in the United States Airforce.

He is survived by his loving wife, Francie Hurst Tallman; son, Paul Douglas Tallman and wife, Jane of Lewisburg; daughter, Donnetta Huffman and husband, Tom of Mt. Nebo; sisters, Connie Heintzman of Sistersville, Charlotte Allen of Reedy and Tamara Pritt of Huntington.  He was also survived by granddaughter, Mary-Liz Tallman who was wrapped around his little finger.
