John Clayton Hacker, 76, of Frametown, WV, passed away peacefully at home on August 16, 2018.

He was born April 26, 1942 in Gassaway, WV, a son of the late Arley and Beulah Booth Hacker, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Roberta “Jean” Brown of Alabama and Libby Fergueson of Tennessee; brothers, James Hacker of Wilsie, WV, and Jack Hacker of Phenix City, Alabama.

John lived most of his life in Michigan before having to retire early because of poor health. He worked for JOBA Construction in Brownstown, MI, where he worked 27 years. He was a member of the Operational Engineers Local 324 and Laborers Local 1191 of Michigan. John served in the US Army. He loved to hunt and to come home to WV especially during deer season.

Surving John is his wife of 52 years, Helen Duffield Hacker; son, Sam (Stephanie) Hacker of Sutton, WV; grandchildren, Ashley (Bryan) Coyer, Kyle (Krista) Hacker and Johnathan Tyler Hacker all of Sutton, WV; great grandchildren, Cassidy Coyer, Brantley Coyer, Adallyn Coyer, Ezra Hacker, Emersyn “Emmy” Hacker, and Easten Hacker; siblings, Lula Mae (Jr.) Peters of Phenix City, AL, Sue (Dana) Friend, Carolyn (Dale) Patrick, Sharon (Jim ) Brady all of Gassaway.
