I was deeply saddened to hear of Essie's passing. I remember her fondly as the extremely nice and loving lady who befriended myself and my siblings during the late 1950's. I remember being with them when Joe Eddie was killed. It was a really traumatic and confusing time for me but Essie made it better just by her natural ability to love and comfort. I had wanted to visit her when I found out she was in the nursing home and really meant to do it but alas things get postponed and life moves forward. Now, I regret so very much not doing so. She was a wonderful person that anyone whose life she touched was blessed and surely would never forget her. That is the case with me. Rest In Peace, sweet lady.

Words seem inadequate to express the sorrow felt by the loss of such a loved one. My heart is with you.  As well as this beautiful encouraging promise, John 5:28,29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."   Imagine that day when all our dear loved ones are brought back to life through a resurrection and reunited with us again.  What a truly beautiful promise of comfort and hope and how we long for that special day so close at hand.

What a wonderful woman with a wonderful legacy! The obituary says it all. She made everyone she met feel special and I feel privileged to have met and know her through her amazing daughter Diana.

To Essie's family, Oct 4, 2017 My sincerest sympathies for the earthly loss of your dear loved one. She embraced and loved everyone, and made all feel welcome in her home, as did my family when we first started visiting her from Ohio when she and Ed lived on Sugar Creek, when my children were in grade school. Her faith in our Lord Jesus was evident in all she said and did. Treasure all those special memories, as I do the ones I have. Her legacy will live on. Prayers for comfort for all of you, whom she loved so much, Shirley Huang & family-- Vermont/Ohio
