Burial Date: September 23, 2018

Service will be 4 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Mark Stump officiating. Interment will be in the Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Sutton.

Friends may call three hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Her family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Braxton Healthcare Center, and to the staff at both Braxton County Memorial Hospital and WV Caring (Hospice) for all the love and care they gave to her.

Betty May Singleton, 89, of Exchange, died September 20, 2018 at Braxton Health Care Center.

She was born May 1, 1929 to the late Walter Jack Davis and Maddalene P. Crutchfield Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byrne Lee Singleton; brothers, Jack Davis, Chester Davis, and infant brother, Chelmer Davis. Betty was also preceded in death by her longtime friend, Helen Traugh.

She lived a wonderful life. Betty was an Elementary School Teacher’s Aide. She raised a garden and loved canning, cooking and baking. She was a member of Gassaway Baptist Church. She loved all her family. Betty will be truly missed.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Donna (Dana) Perkins; sons, Ronnie (Wilma) Singleton, and Jimmy (Deb) Singleton; grandchildren, Jeff (Linda) Perkins, Jerry (Rena) Perkins, Terry (Amy) Perkins, Matt, Heather (Brent), Laura (Shaun), Joe Grogg, and Shannon (Robb) Triplett. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Garrett Perkins, Ben Perkins, Lindsey Prince, Zac Perkins, Breanna Perkins, Kaiden Perkins, Tyler Scott, Christopher Lloyd, Chelsea Lloyd, Maleah Cooper, Brycen Cooper, Gavin Triplett, and Gage Triplett; and great- great grandchild, Broden Prince.
