Burial Date: October 30, 2018

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastors Scott Bandy and Ray Witner officiating.  Interment will be in the Beall’s Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service.

Betty Lou Hundley, 85, of St. Albans, died October 20, 2018 of a sudden illness at CAMC General Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1933 at Clem, WV a daughter of the late James Spencer Delaney and Maysel Marie Mollohan Delaney.

Betty grew up in Gassaway and graduated from Gassaway High School in 1951.  She also attended Charleston School of Commerce.  She also took courses and earned a certificate through Moody Bible Institute.

Betty worked in the Consumer Credit offices of the National Bank of Commerce, Charleston from 1976 to 1987.  She also worked in the Children’s Department of the St. Albans Public Library from 1990 to 1998 and retired from Hallmark Cards, St. Albans in 2015.

Betty was a member of the Twin City Bible Church, Nitro, WV where she taught Sunday school.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ray Hundley in 1996; son, Timothy Ray Hundley, grandson, Matthew Hundley; infant great grandson, Elijah Marquart; great granddaughter, Samara D’Arco; brother, Carlos Dean Delaney.

Betty is survived by son, Kirk Hundley, St. Albans, WV; daughters, Dee-Dee Myers and husband, Pete of Memphis, TN and Angela Johnston and husband, Tim of Winfield, WV; sisters, Evelyn Delaney Boggs, Clova Lee Delaney Jacobs and husband, John and Margaret Shannon; brothers, Chester Delaney, Marvin Delaney and wife, Neva Jo and Steve Delaney and wife, Nancy; nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
