Burial Date June 1, 2019

Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastors William Hunt and William Hunt II.  Interment will be in the Carr Cemetery, Belfont.

Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.

Betty Lea Carr, 89, of Weston, formerly of Stumptown passed away May 29, 2019 at home surrounded by her family and caregivers.

She was born January 23, 1930 in Gassaway, a daughter of the late Nanna Carr Moyers and Cecil Dale Moyers.

Betty was a homemaker and mother of four girls.  She worked at Rubber Fabricators which was bought out by BF Goodrich.  She retired from BF Goodrich.  She was a flower and vegetable gardener and she loved to cook.  Family was a big part of her life.  She was a member of Simpson Creek Church at Belfont.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley F. Carr and her brothers, Bernard Moyers and Bruce Moyers.

Betty is survived by her daughters; Judy Allen and husband, Henry of West Milford, Ruby Digman and husband, Raymond of Pennsboro, Susie Jarvis and husband, Van of Lagrange, Ohio, Jo Ann Hunt and her husband, Pastor Bill Hunt of Weston; sisters, Mary Sue Rollyson of Frametown, Wanda Mitchell and husband, Jimmie of Frametown, Inez Napier and husband, Dale of Statesville, NC; nine grandsons; eleven great granddaughters, eight great grandsons; one great great granddaughter and one great great grandson.
